SALES & MARKETING ASSISTANT
STIHL SOUTHWEST, INC. is seeking a Sales/Marketing Assistant to join our team in Malvern, Arkansas. As the exclusive wholesale distributor for STIHL ourdoor power equipment in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and east Texas, we are dedicated to providing top-quality products to independent retailers. The Sales/Marketing Assistant will play an important role in supporting our sales and marketing efforts.
Responsibilities:
Join our marketing and sales team in developing advertising and sales communication materials for our customers (retailers of STIHL outdoor power equipment) in four states. Assist in many marketing support activities including creating marketing communications, promotional materials, product/price catalogs and sales/advertising analyses. You'll do things such as writing and designing sales flyers, writing email content, creating social media posts, managing budget spreadsheets and analyzing sales and ad campaign results.
This position requires excellent analytical capabilities and writing skills and the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets in Excel. You’ll be collaborating with internal and external team members, such as ad agency personnel, both in person and online, so good verbal communication skills are also needed. Experience in marketing/sales is not required but good writing and analytical skills are absolutely necessary. Experience with InDesign or similar design/publishing software is a bonus.

CUSTOMER SERVICE / PHONE-BASED
Stihl Southwest is seeking a new person for our customer service team. For more than 50 years, we’ve been a wholesale distributor selling STIHL outdoor power equipment to retail dealers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and east Texas. This is a full-time position that includes a wide array of tasks including taking incoming calls from our customers, keying orders/data entry, assisting our customers on the phone, and answering questions in areas such as pricing and parts-lookup. Our customer service team also supports additional bookkeeping/clerical functions.
We need someone with fast and accurate keyboarding and 10-key skills, and they must be able to key orders while talking to customers on the phone. This job also requires excellent multi-tasking skills and a great memory since it is common to have multiple things going on at the same time. We are looking for a person with excellent attendance and telephone skills including good verbal and listening skills. We prefer a bookkeeping background, previous work experience in a similar position (including assisting customers with orders via phone) and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Please note that this is an administrative/bookkeeping position, not a technical or warehouse position.
